Also for your taillight design, while going a different direction could be interesting, I think there isn't a huge need to reinvent the wheel for it, I think the basic design of the gt taillights is good it just looks dated because of the diffusion lines in the lights based on how LEDs used to be diffused. I think the second generation of LED strips/bars are much more brighter which has removed the need to have all the diffusion/refraction lines in the housings. (this is similar to how headlights used to have all the cut off lines on the housings before HIDs came and were so bright that the diffusion lines in the housing weren't needed and now almost every headlight has a clear lense)
Just remaking the taillights with sharp lines LED bars would be the huge improvement like this.

been off this website a few months as I moved into a different house and have been renovating. bumping this to see if any more progress anyone has made on either that digital clock or the taillights. honestly I still think we need to group buy list for LED taillights to convince acar or someone to make some.

No progress as of yet, the clock is on hold due to an issue with the manufacturer of the clock display, No word on the taillights.

What time frame are we talking about for the clock? Just got the 2024 radio and will be putting that in once the weather warms up a bit. Would like to not rip out the dash twice.

Any pictures you can share of what it'd look like? Especially interested in the style and what info it would display.

this thread was created in fall of 2023 lol, its now summer 2025 we never heard anything more about the led tail lights or clock so im guessing this was vaporware?
