So, I have a low mileage (7,500) 2014 GT Sport I bought new. The car has been well maintained so obvi know the history. Today when driving the yellow "check suspension" light came on. I have a pretty good indy mechanic that works on exotics (mainly Ferrari and Maserati) and has done most of the maintenance over the past several years. I've got an appointment already set up. Given the ride seems completely normal and not indicative of a major suspension issue (which I've had with other vehicles), what are common problems for this light to go off (ECU, sensor)? Also, I wanted to buy a good scanner / code reader and found the Foxwell NT530 for Maserati. Firstly, what do you all recommend for a good scanner....is the Foxwell worth the $250 or whatever other brand seems to be used by the Maserati community?

Appreciate any feedback

It may just be a weak.battery...does it come and go ?

Read the codes..it may just be the battery or a speed sensor

I actually replaced the battery a few months ago, but I've heard if the battery has a weak charge it can create issues like this. The warning comes on immediately upon starting and stays, which makes me think it's either truly a suspension problem (which I doubt) or a sensor. I need to get the scanner to read the codes.

I bought my Foxwell 530 on Amazon for around $170 (new). Works for all my needs...I would get that battery tested for sure too...

I'm pretty sure you should diagnosis stuff with a scan tool and work off that point...Just because that was your issue doesn't mean it is the problem for every car..I get pattern failures, but you have no idea until actually looking at a vehicle..It can go sideways fast...Jason

Not really...You diagnosed it and gave an estimate of cost...see above...It doesn't always work out that way ..."Its a sensor and 580.00" ....That was your deal, but every situation is different...No disrespect...J
