I have had passenger side headlight for a short period work part time and now its done. I bought a used assembly and got nothing. Ecu for light unavailable or does anyone know where to get one? I was told it has another ecu in the dash. I'm not sure on that. Anyone can help I would sure appreciate it.

Did you start with a bulb? You have the bulb and the ballast...box under the headlight...Start with a bulb...If that doesn't work try another ballast...A lot of manufactures don't sell just the ballast...Get the number off the old ballast and match it up with a used unit off Ebay..A lot of makes use the same ballast...The ECU is the headlamp leveling ECU, but that is not your problem if the light won't come on...Jason

Jason, I wish I was a little closer to you. I tried bulb first. I tried buying a assembly used hoping to get good ballast. Neither has helped. The number on the ballast must be 2013 to 2018 only. I bought one with one number difference. it also fits Cadillac DTS so I gave it to my brother because his go bad often. Plug in the back is different. So it must be priority Maserati. I checked Scuderia Parts and no part without complete light assembly. I'm in Nashville and the dealer here is a customer of mine but I get no breaks and I hate to pay a tech that doesn't know anymore than I do.

Agree with Jason. Change bulb first, then ballast. I doubt ECU is faulty or you will get a message on dashboard about "adaptive headlight malfunction". The ballast location is very bad at the bottom of the light housing. It collects water as there is a gap (painted) near the top middle of the black light housing that allows water to flow down. I had rain water damaged the entire light assembly once. Insurance covered but I sealed that little gap with epoxy since....such a stupid design...my gosh! If you were getting intermittent lighting off and on before it went bad, then more than likely faulty ballast.

You can find the part number attached from my 2013. My mechanic put a new ballast but still had an "adaptive light malfunction" light on dashboard cause the motor inside light housing for leveling was damaged from rain water...so Insurance put new light assembly. Remove tire and peel back liner....3 big screws for housing and 3 small screws for ballast...not difficult but remove light housing slowly.
