Ah gotcha, well I got the car back together, now I’m regretting not pouring coolant in to do a fit test on it lol I guess I didn’t do the hose up tight enough 😅 oh well I tried lol time to take the manifold off again 😂

Yeah, sorry to hear...that's a big bummer :(

This tool is also an excellent way to evacuate/refill the cooling system, when it's time for a coolant flush. After coolant has been drained the traditional way, and coolant system re-closed, connect this tool for the evac process. After evac, vacuum refill with coolant. It is a good practice to then evac coolant system again after refill to ensure air pockets are removed. (not much coolant at all is lost during the 2nd evac). Then pressure refill with coolant for a 2nd time. Carry out traditional techniques, (turn on heater, let car idle to operating temp etc.), to ensure coolant reservoir is topped off.

edit you need a supplied air source/compressor to evacuate/refill coolant with this tool.

Most of the work was the valve covers funny enough, Atleast it’s just the manifold this time! Almost seems easy thinking about it lol but it’s gunna be meh again I know it 😂
Now it's just muscle memory doing the Intake again! Second time will seem easier I'm sure (y)

Hit the area with a good degreaser, spray this on said area, call it a day! :p

Good tip Sir!
So I have a little oil seepage on the rear of the vale covers. If I use this, do you think it's easy enough to remove when I go to replace my VC gaskets later down the road?

I've actually used this with good results, just make sure you clean the area really good. It was such a good temp fix for me on my old M6 that I almost forgot to fix the damn problem...lol.
About the same as scraping off a pretty decent gasket, not bad at all.

I was talking about the Permatex spray stuff..I 'm not for spraying stuff all over to seal a leak, but I can't argue with success as I always say..J
Me neither, def not the way to go as a permanent fix. Was out of town when my oil cooler housing sprung a leak, this stuff saved me as a temp fix. Damn car didn't leak a drop for about 5 months. I had actually forgotten about the leak! I had a bit of good luck & success with this stuff. 👍🏽

Works great, I moved the clamp more over to where the original one would go since there’s a lip there and it’s leak free :) cars running great! Might have to deal with the electric doors not opening now though… lol 😂

Anything else to do while doing the oil level sensor? I was thinking the gasket obvs. I’ll probably do my coolant expansion tank too since I do have some of those lines forming.

Also I snapped a valve cover bolt tehe, hopefully fastenal has some while I put a new order in on scuderia.
