I need to remove the panel that includes the ash tray, mirror controls, and convertible top control. They are over due for a visit to StickyNoMore. It seems easy to remove, but I want to be sure so I don't damage anything. There is a screw under the foam rubber in the storage slot. After I remove that screw (and the ash tray & wiring), I see nothing else preventing removal - but it is still holding tight. Do I need to (gently) pry the panel out of the surrounding console with a screwdriver - like you do with the radio panel? I assume the answer is yes, but it never hurts to ask.

Yes, I have removed the ash tray and housing from the panel, along with the wiring to the cigarette lighter. I don't see any other screws. I'm pretty sure I just need to gently pry the panel out from the surrounding console. I was just hoping that I could confirm this with someone who has done it before. Not really a big deal - I just don't want to find out the hard way if my assumption is wrong.

There's another screw under the rubber mat at the bottom of the storage compartment to the right of the mirror switches in your photo.
