Says it was new for Maserati about a year ago..... Anyone using this on their QP yet? Looks like its plug and play just remove the CD changer but is it really that easy and does it work well?

It's not new, maybe a software update. I have it and it works well. Not many other options anyway. I think it's best with Apple but it's nice and clear, easy install.

So it looks like in the video there is a power cord coming off too is it more than just the harness? Seems like the factory harness for the cd changer would have power already?

And did you have to run all the way back to your head unit or literally just plug into the cd changer harness? You are Bluetooth streaming music too right? I'm not much worried about the phone I just want Pandora or my ITunes playlists.

Thanks for any input on this. You bought yours direct from Loudlink right? Says they are located in Hungary?

Loudlink was the very first item I bought for my QP. Yes it is connected to the CD Changer's harness inside the CD changer's glove box.
No mess with the unit. Simple plug 'n play solution.

I'm streaming music from my mobile phone all the time. I'm using PowerAmp application and I have selected all the songs (thousands) in Random play.
With the steering's wheel up/down buttons, I can select next random song (if I don't like the current song)
There is also a usb input for a flash drive (not practical see No2 below)

REMEMBER:

1) the unit is activated ONLY when you press CDC at the console. That means if you're listening i.e. radio and the phone rings, you must FIRST select CDC and then press ">>" to answer the phone . The "<< "hung up. As you may understand the steering wheel's talk button is useless.

2) the loudlink only transfers music (like the CD Changer) . NOT DATA. I would describe the connection more like analog type, not digital. That means you don't see any info on the screen (caller's name or song name etc) .

Yes they are located in Hungary. Ask for Arnold. He is also a member here. ;)

I have uploaded the user's manual ;)

I just changed new phone, i forgot how to unpair the previou device, luckly u shared the user manual here, CD 4...thank u man,
I think my Loudlink now sounds even better with my new phone.

Keep in mind there are 2 different models. One has Bluetooth only, the other has an SD card slot. I use it mostly for streaming music from Slacker or my own songs on my device. Occasionally I use it for phone calls and it comes with its own external mic that must be run to a good location for voice pickup. Lately I cant get any of the car buttons to work properly to control anything, they seem to either not function or cancel the bluetooth pairing, not sure why. I think its just an incompatibility with my android device, its hard to program for a device thats all new every few months but the audio streams just fine.

Yes its an easy install but the old changer must be removed as this replaces it. I made a tool out of hanger wire to remove it but it can be bought cheaply as well. Do not throw out your old changer, its very expensive to replace even if its a POS or just doesn't work anymore.

the old changer is expensive ?! omg...my CD-Changer was not working and i gave it to the accsssory shop who helped me install the Loudlink.
Now I got no way to take it back already...:-(

I just ordered one of these. I didn't see a forum discount but I added the question if there was one in the comments. Looks to be a great solution. My car says tookie on the screen and has a microphone by headliner as well as an ipod connector in center consol but I can't seem to make any of them work. Going to take both out when I install the loudlink

Yes, it's about $300 used and one of the biggest pieces of garbage ever made. Every car it's used in has problems with it. I kept it just to have it but it doesn't work and I would never pay to replace it.

I believe that's a cell phone interface. Pretty high tech in its day but probably still usable if you can figure it out.

I just removed the garbage Parrot Bluetooth system in my '07 QP this morning and installed the Loudlink. Was incredibly easy to install and works great. I did mount the mic on the upper end of the A-pillar trim and according to the individual I test called with it, it was crystal clear. Highly recommended!!

Still showing my unit hasn't shipped but a label was created... how long did it take for your order to process before it was shipped? most items I order are shipped same day or by the next business day although it seems to be a small company so a few days is reasonable. It's been a week for me

It's a very small business and people have noted longer than Amazon shipping times in the past. The guy is here on the forum if you didn't know already. Arnoldf
