Ok, I have searched the forum along with the entire internet and can not find the answer to this question. I am searching for my first Granturismo and finding MC trim level vehicles with and without the side vents and center exhaust. Some are labeled Stradale and some are not. There seems to be a lot of misinformation out there about these vehicles, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unless someone went through the trouble of importing one, there are no Stradales in the US. A true MC Stradale was a stripped down (i.e. leaner, more powerful) offering with no rear seats offered only in Europe.

What you are seeing with the side vents, hood and center exhaust is the MC trim, which was a more expensive option compared to the standard Sport trim.

There are way too many inaccurate listings when it comes to the GT. If you are looking for the MC then the dead giveaway is the center exhaust, side vents and the hood. If the listing doesn't have any pictures, use the Maserati's Recall check tool to check the VIN number. It will correctly identify the car as Sport, MC, Vert, etc.

Lastly, note that Maserati offered a "Sportline" package that could be added to the standard Sport trim. From what I recall, Evolution I was an exterior CF package that included mirror covers, door handles, trunk lid. Evolution II was an interior CF package that includedgauge cover (gauge is also black and says MC instead of the standard blue), door and dash trim, shift pedals, steering wheel, brake/gas pedals, shifter, etc.

Also, the Evolution I and II packages were not completely standard for the MC. There were some CF items theat were included while others were options. The Skyhook suspension was also an option. So it really was possible to have a one off MC depending on what the original buyer wanted.

Hope this helps.
This helps immensely! I knew that there were no true Stradales in the US but kept seeing listing for them on Autotrader, cars.com, etc. There are also many listings that are simply "MC" but have none of the exterior characteristics, running those through the recall check site shows these are simply inaccurately listed Sport trims. This not being the fault of the seller but instead of the third party listing site as the trim levels are VIN decoded.

This, of course, makes it infinitely more difficult for me to locate what I want. I am also a dealer so I am watching the auction sites but finding the same inaccuracies in the listings, quite frustrating.

I was originally just looking for a post-facelift sport but the MC has really caught my eye and is now what I have my sights set on. Any opinions one was or the other or anything else I should watch for? Got rid of my Ghibli last year and am very much ready to have a Maserati back!
