I will be participating in my first track day later this week. In April, my brake fluid was flushed with Donax UB. It looks like the minimum boiling point of this fluid is 536 degrees (f). Is this a concern at all for track use? Is there really any need to move to a fluid with a higher boiling point?

Motul 660, never had a problem.

ATE blue is excellent, it comes standard in the BMW M's and the Koenigsegg.
Shell donax UB is a quality fluid as well, we ran it in the Ferrari Challenge series without issue. Motul 660 is another great product. Basically anything that is DOT 5.1 is viable. Make certain the brake system is bled completely, I would bleed each caliper 4 times if you are changing (flushing) the fluid, and keep the bleeder open for at least 5 seconds each time.Good luck!!

My old track car was prone to boiling brake fluid. I tried Castrol LMA and Valvoline synthetic stuff and they were useless.

Changed to ATE super blue and no problem since.

I last switched to motul 660 only because I couldn't find ATE blue in time... both worked flawlessly.

I'm on the second change of brake fluid (do it every 12 months) and both times gone with Motul RBF660. Best out there, hands-down.

I completely flush about three times a year. Was happy with Motul but, hard to find around here. This past weekend, I put in Brembo LCF600. I'll let you know how it works at track time but, from what I can tell so far from tooling around the DC area, the combination of the new fluid & the EBC pads seems to have a LOT of bite at the rotor. I've used ATE in my BMW and love it. Since it's blue I would switch back & forth with other colors to make it easier to tell when the new fluid was coming through the line.
