just as another data point I decided to buy the autel maxiap200 dongle you guys posted on amazon. I got it yesterday because my service light wrench also came on (for changing oil/filters/ etc) but I have already changed all this myself about a 1000 miles ago. Anyway the new dongle comes with 1 car connection for free so I of course set it up with the maserati. I have an iphone 11 pro and it picked up the car very quickly and had me download an extra autel software through the app which gave you all the different parameters to show. I was able to reset the service indicator and the oil service in only a few moments!

The interesting thing related to another thread on here is it has a option for the master headlight/adaptive control. I tried resetting those codes but it didnt seem to work yet. I was going to try it again today and see if I get lucky with my headlight code going way without a dealertrip.

It can still be used/re re-registered if need be...

thats the reason I didnt buy the used one, its not a huge deal to pay the 20$ but atleast if you buy it brand new from amazon , theres aleast some recourse with the seller if it doesnt work and you can show easily that you bought it new.

I was able to register mine in only a few seconds and luckily it did reset the oil service and maint. in a few secs. It did even find that I have a blown out bulb in my trunk (only fault code I have was low electricity in the"luggage compartment" which im assuming means a bulb is blown out somewhere.

I know these asian companies tend to shy away from you once you have a problem with their product. The aucar threads being the maserati example haha.

Steps should be :
Download the MaxiAP200 app on android or iphone ( I had an iphone)
Then if you have the latest maxiap200 app
should look like the image attached here :
click on diagnostics,
then under diagnostics (you should see DEMO and EOBD options) click the + button and itll take you to MAIL tab
look for the Maserati name on the list
click on it and if its the first one youve downloaded it should give you the option to download the software for free and it will download a second app called DIAG-EUROPE
Maserati firmware should be V2.00
and then once thats downloaded it gives you all the same options to run codes/erase codes , etc
The masterati code runner runs through the DIAG-EUROPE app addon AFTER you have the maxiap2000 installed

Yes so plug the autel scanner into the obd2 port, turn your key to the "ON/ACC" position (dont start the car) and then make sure in your iphone/android settings your bluetooth is on and showing its connected to the scanner, then open the maxiapp and when you go to diagnostics and click on the maserati icon it should then take you to the next menu where it gives you the option to run the codes, theres only like 3 options on that first run codes page. Then once it runs the codes youll see a plethora of options to check all the diag for every circuit and , infotainment, communication etc.

im actually about to wash my car now so ill screenshot it if you arent seeing the menu in alittle while.
