In speaking with my independent shop about my A/C compressor I am now being told that they can rebuild the compressor which honestly, doesn’t surprise me as I think almost anything can be “rebuilt” in this day and age.
For you mechanical experts out there, is this rebuild kit true? I’d rather have it rebuilt than spend a ton of money on a brand new compressor.
I also didn’t realize the compressor has a good deal of mass to My compressor has been entirely removed and all the hoses plugged up and now my car does 0-60 in 3 seconds 😜…all that weight savings……
