BigA,

Well done. Personally if i had the time i would attempt doing small things like that all the time. Would make me feel better that i did something. There is never any harm in doing something yourself.

I know how i make it , I went to paris charles pozzi yesterday , has to buy parts for my car and I took the opportunity to ask a mechanic how to put the emblem on the bumper and fix the trident on the grille is easy I'll take pictures and show you :autofahrer:

MaseratiBlue , you can read , and you will know how do !

Got mine replaced in the body shop. They took out the bumper grill and replaced it.

The badge is held on by double sided tap as I believe the other badges are took mine of with a filleting knife after protecting the paintwork with duck tape took two minutes. If there is a nut you cannot get to the badge by just taking out the front grille

Here are some pics that might help.

Here is the process. Take the inside angled piece (like 6-8 screws, plastic) inside the hood, right along the front side of it. When removed there should be enough room to pull slight up and use a 8mm wrench to loosen the screw. Let it drop, disappear etc..... Its not needed.

Then take a hair dryer and heat up the emblem, (double sided tape thats a bi$$h) Use a fishing string tied to two screwdrivers or wood or something. Slide the string under the emblem while its still warm and work it under all the way around. It should loosen it enough to peel it off. The bolt goes through the bottom so will come off with the emblem. Clean the area with 3m Adhesive sealant, careful not to soften the Clear Coat everywhere.

Replace with the new emblem. The Sticky tape is plenty strong enough to hold the new one with no nut on the bottom.

Done. Pictures show the front without the bumper and one with the bumper. Geeezzzz I think there were 70 something screws to remove the front bumper. Not difficult, but a ton of screws and a few were a pain. Worth it to get resprayed.

Not to revive an older thread but I did mine today with cutting into the emblem and taking the nut off. have some photos and vid. I would say about a few minutes until you figure out what you have to do. Once you see the hex nut you have to cut around the plastic to then be able to use the needle nose pliers to grip pull and start unscrewing the bolt. Ill post the pics and vid soon
