Car & driver review seems a bit off overall with their take.

Totally biased review. Why pick the MC20 over the Chevy? To much money for Car and Driver to lose in support of the MC20. If you want to be like every other person buy a vette. I laughed at there sum up of EV pickups.....I do feel bad for the people who bought them.. Very misleading from the auto companies that make them. I'd be pissed having a pick-up that can't even tow something 100 miles.

Yeah, they liked it in their March '22 review....Now its a loser??? And I've posted this before, but why does the 911 Turbo get a complete pass in the media for being a six and sounding like a sewing machine, but the MC20 gets bashed for the same? Unless you option the crap out of the MC20 Coupe, it's in the ball park price wise of the 911T

The shift from v12’s to 10’s to 8’s and now TT v6’s is the wave of the future. The engines are lighter and provide better gas mileage as well as compliance with MPG mandates. Maserati’s MC20 Netuno engine is a 3.0L TT V6, just like the Artura.
If you want good gas mileage, buy a Honda Civic. We know how efficient and capable the V-6 TT's are, and we don't care. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. A MC20 fitted with a naturally aspirated V8/V10 would have been on back order for years! Just my .02! 🤔

Fortunately, the tide is turning and people are waking up to the climate alarmism nonsense. Furthermore, the casual EV owner (not the early adopters who love the latest technology nor the greenies who think they're saving the planet), the casual EV owners are realizing how inconvenient they are. Hence why resale values are dropping so hard and all but Tesla are struggling.

Three 2022 cars now listed for $169k. Prices still on the decline at start of summer!
The Rosso Vincente one Carrio I gave them an offer of $170K about 7 weeks ago...their rep Jorge laughed at my offer. That car also has FUGLY aftermarket wheels.

The Giallo Genie & Black (also at Carrio) have no suspension lift.

Not until Maserati announces the MC20 Folgore, the MC20 ICE version will continue to decline in price until it is confirmed the MC20 ICE version is going the way of the Dodo.
Didn't someone say the Coupe production stopped? After I've gotten mine and my fellow Ferrari friends drove it, one bought one the very next week and two others are actively looking for one.

Such a sweet looking car. I’m confused why buyers aren’t moving on them.
Economy sucks man ... I heard 70% of the super car market is purchased on lease too ... and those lease rates are going to be in the order of 8 - 10% interest ... STEEP.
Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, McLaren all hurting right now. It's a good time to buy a supercar.

Just spoke to my dealer ... he estimates there are only 800 MC20 coupes world wide. The 2500 to 3500 units sold to date he says includes A LOT of Cielos.
I would say, if that is true, sub-1000 coupes out there ... it's a rare car.

He did have an opinion on the value ... he said it might dip a little, but mostly hold, but would take 8 to 10 years before the price went up big time.
He does expect it to go up in the long run.

Maserati made 1,244 (linked to source) units of MC20 in 2023. Assuming 2022 were all coupes with very few in 2024, sub 1,000 units is pretty accurate. I wonder how many came to the US? Makes me wanna buy another one.

Tesla are also struggling. The whole EV market is struggling.

I think you might be misinterpreting what I wrote. I wasn’t insinuating that I bought an MC20 because it had a 6cylinder for better gas mileage—I’m not sure that’s ever a real consideration among buyers in the >$200 level. Rather I was making the point that the manufacturers have been getting governmental pressure to increase fuel economy for years, so this is the evolution of that. If you do want better gas mileage, you don’t have to go Ev or “Civic,” as Toyota makes a fairly large and quite comfortable vehicle in the Crown, which gets 41 highway & city as it’s a hybrid (not plugin). That said, I don’t think anyone would disagree with wanting the MC20 to have a v10/12, but that ship sailed. At this point, I think the hope is that we don’t lose the v6 to a full EV version. Although, it would make those of us that own one a bit happier, as prices would probably stabilize, if not climb.

More of a piggyback add on to your previous statement, for those of us who are die hard naturally aspirated V8, V10, and V12 fans. No ill intent was meant. (y)
