The plastic lever on my driver side seat back broke. I got a replacement but not sure how to replace. Would greatly appreciate any assistance as I don’t want to break the new piece during installation. Thanks

Old post but trying my luck. I bought replacement that looked exactly the same as the broken one. But the replacement levers won't click when I push. Am I missing anything ? I don't see any pins or grooves where the plastic piece would attach itself on the lever.
Did you get all of the old one off the lever inside?

hello, yes I did. No matter how hard I push the new piece in, it doesn't attach to the metal arm. I bought 3 of them from 3 different vendors, just to make sure I am not missing anything. Is there any other attachment that I need that (e.g, something that goes in and attaches tot he metal arm before the release lever ?)

I have this same issue, the replacements will push onto the lever in the seat but don't click into place as would be expected and just fall off.

There is a hole that presumably has some role to play here, but doesn't.

Hello Brit, I took it to a local maserati dealer, they tried to attach the replacement to the lever with no success. They told me that a piece on the metal lever was broken. Without that piece (not quite sure what it looks like), the knob would not click in.

They presented two options: (1) Someone needs to open up the seat and replace the metal lever (dealer wont do it). (2) They offered me to glue it back.

Thanks.

Yeah, I just pulled off the black plastic surround so I could see inside the seat and, as you say, there is just a short metal lever that the new piece slides on to.

And off again...

There is nothing for it to latch on to.

So yes, time for some superglue...
