The lever moves inside the car but it doesn't pop the hood. No noises, no nothing.
- I had it open to remove all the plastics , but that's all I touched was the surrounding plastics. Also have it on Jack stand and removed the wheel well liner to access the headlights and loosen them up so I could move them back a few inches. Put the headlamps and wheel liners back then shut hood and now is when it won't pop.

Did you say you removed the plastic engine cover? Without the cover the hood is missing the two pressure points needed to unlatch the hood. You can try one of two options to get it open. Both take two people. First have someone press down on the front of the hood while you pull the hood latch. This should put the needed pressure on the latch to open it up. If that doesn't work you need to put something in the front hood crack that can pull up on the hood at the same time someone pulls on the latch. Be careful not to scratch the hood. Apply tape on whatever you use. This should help pop the latch. Good luck.

I assume you have someone pulling on the hood latch at the same time you are pressing down on the hood? It doesn't take much force. If that doesn't work use plan B. I used one a wooden back scratchers because it has claws on the end. I put some tape on the claws to make sure it wouldn't scratch. Put the claws under the front lip of the hood and pull up while someone else pulls the hood latch. That should do it for you.

Well this makes sense. I pulled my plastic trim off the other day to eyeball the cooling stuff. Closed it and drove yesterday and couldn't get the lid open when I got home. It all makes sense now. I'll get something in there to pry it open, I never even thought about the rubber stops landing on the plastic trim piece. Doh!! It did sound funny when I closed it yesterday now that I think about it.
