Driver's seat problem

Hi Guys

I have a problem with the driver’s seat not moving forward or back, all other functions work ok.

When I toggle the switch forward or back I can hear a click which sounds like its coming from the control box kind of like a relay click, and an audible beep from the dash, I’m trying to work out what that beep means?

I have tried a hard reset, checked the fuses, unplugging the seat connectors and performing the seat reset - when doing this the clicking occurs and the beep sounds at the end

The seat tilt function has also never worked either, but if the seat thinks it’s tilted does it then disable the forward and back motion hence the beep sound?

The seat is also quite far back so I cannot access the rear mounting bolts, there haven't been able to remove the seat yet

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Power seat issues

I am having this exact same issue with my passenger seat. Nothing is jammed under the seat, and all other seat functions work properly, and I've tried the seat reset process. Also, my seat is all the way forward so I cannot get to the mounting screws to remove the seat. I think the seat was tilted forward for back access, the seat began moving forward, then the motor died at the end. Is there any way I can manually move the seat back? Can the motor be replaced/serviced without changing the entire seat mechanism? And of course this all happened on the day before I am turning it over to its new owner. What can I do to solve this? I really hope this doesn't ruin the sale. I need to figure this out! Thanks for your help!

OK. This is weird. Just went out and tried it again. Moved the seat height up as high as it would go, front and back, and then tried to move it backward and it worked. Although it moved very slowly. I still couldn't see anything caught in the tracks. Would having the seat really low keep the chair from going forward and backward?

Hi MalMeg,

I have the identical problem with the passenger seat. I have tried battery isolation, removal of fuse, removal and replacement of white control cable, tapping of the electric motor to no avail. I had this problem several months ago and it just fixed itself like you described above.

I have spent a couple of days on the seat now and cannot get the seat to move from the full forward position. I am unable to get access to the forward seat installation bolts to remove the seat.

Some questions:
Is your passenger seat still working?
Although I have the car trickle charging and have also been driving it - would a lack of voltage affect the motor? The drivers seat has no issues.
Any tips?

The reset won't work if your seat is stuck but here it is. You only need to press the switch for a fraction of a second in each direction
Open the door
Quickly
Forward
Back
Forward
Back
Tilt the seat back forward

The seat will go all the way forwards, all the way back a couple of times, then return to the correct position.
