Cost of Ownership

I'm coming up to 1 year/just under 10,000km's since picking up my GS.

The total came out to just over $5,000 Canadian (around $3,750 US today's exchange).

I was curious what I had spent on it as the question around cost of ownership of these cars comes up often. How do others compare (more, less, about the same?).

Full breakdown:

My 2014 GT has been less in the 2 years that I've owned it. I have changed my coolant reservoir and drive belts as preventive maint. and oil/coolant/differential fluid changes and a couple sets of tires. I'm probably around $1,000 US/year, with tires being my biggest expense...

Actually not that bad, you seem to have had a reasonably clean car.

I'm in the process of replacing an extensive list of parts for my car, its got a chattery LSD/rear end but it could be for many reasons. It happens a lot when the car is moving from a stop so hopefully the transmission mount and rear control arm bushings sort it out.

It's sorta a reality check, but I planned for it when I bought it. This month I'm at 2 full years of ownership with my 06' GS. Little bit if a breakdown since I've owned it...new tires and alignment $1400 (Michelin pilot 4s). $110 oil change x2 = $220, BMC air filter $100, Iridium spark plugs $80, Diff/trans flush $45, Stereo upgrades $700, Passenger window regulator repair $100 (ebay part). As I approach driven nearly 15K miles over the last 2 yrs, about $2500 in premium fuel. Insurance $800 annually x2 = $1600.

So...1400+220+100+80+45+700+100+2500+1600 = $6745/2 years = $3372 per year.

Aside from labor on tires and an alignment I did all the work myself, so it would definitely be higher paying a dealer or someone. I'm due another oil change in the next couple weeks, this will be the 3rd since I do them at 5K mile intervals. I do drive it, it's not a garage queen, purchased it just shy of 35K miles now approaching $50K soon.

Well worth it, love it every time I get in it, looking at getting the DBW soon when the holiday specials start.

I love when I see a fellow Masi brethren, racking up the mileage ;). I drive my GT daily and change the oil every 6,250. I've racked up about 50k miles in the last 2 years. (lots of road trips)
