I stumbled on this today. It is dated 21st March 2024

"Solved" it says.

On reading they do not offer the solution only to pay them to fix it for you.
Perhaps it is solvable through the software afterall then?

Could be wrong but doubt very much he was capable of doing the work himself. Almost certainly farmed out for £600. Whether they are doing it themselves or otherwise the alternative above might be beneficial.

binnacle chip? You've lost me totally now :ROFLMAO: Binnacle is the instrument cluster?

Yes. It has a number of electronic components one of which contains data which has been corrupted. The repair service will replace this 'chip' and reprogram it.
aah ok I see now.
Seems like a lot of money to fix it when that money would be better spent changing the clocks/ radio etc to Digital. If it was cheap I might have considered it but not for the outdated system I have.
