Can it not be fixed by a radiator shop or are they made of some exotic metal or composite these days?
I think that is a possibility but just wondering if you can just get Evaporator core separately or a suitable one from another make or model car. As it is a pretty labour intensive job I would feel better knowing a new ccore was in rather than repaired.

I am thinking the way forward is to dismantle and get the measurements of the evaporator and document this for others to get information on. Its just a PITA that the HVAC system comes as a complete Blower, Heater, AC and regulator. In the Ghibli and Quattroporte you can buy these heater/AC cores separately. I'll post the journey once it is done.

You would want a new evaporator...It's gonna be a ton of work..About one of the worst jobs to do on a vehicle..I have to do them on Range Rovers and customers are shocked when they see the amount of parts...Jason
