Just had the annual service done by an independent shop here in West Los Angeles. Cost was $1300.

so what is done during an annual or 40K service?
you can do a lot for 10 hrs worth of labor.....

There really isnt a "major service" for these cars, there are no timing belts on any 01+ Maserati. For a 40K mile service you would probably want to do all fluids and filters, acc belts and spark plugs. If you really wanted to take care of everything you could look at doing the charcoal filter and o2 sensors.
Annual for dealership is oil and filter, brake flush and a pollen filter. We will inspect the car and advise as needed.
I can tell you now, almost every annual service we do gets wiper blades. Once a year here in FL is about right for wiper blades, if not more. Not worth scratching up a windshield or just having wipers that don't work and streak everywhere when the rain comes.
