Hello
I am wondering about a good source or sources for used Granturismo parts such a interior pieces.

Also wondering how many miles the engines in these cars are good for. Since I understand that they are basically a Ferrari design, Their longevity bothers me. It seems that Ferraris don't last that long as opposed to Porsches which run forever.

Are these cars reasonably reliable say compared to a Jaguar XKR?

Thanks and please have patience as I have not dealt with Maseratis since the late 70s and early 80s which meant Meraks and Boras.

My GT is around 145k miles, so far.

Indeed they are relatively reliable cars given that they were the last generation from an extensively tried and tested platform. Only new parts on this car are bodywork, interior seats, (some) lights and dashboard really. The rest are already tried, revised and tested parts.

The drivetrain is bullet proof and indeed if taken good care of you can get more that 200k miles out of the car.

Used interior parts, kind of tough but you can generally find stuff on ebay and various auto recycling yards. Reality is if your interior needs redoing, almost all parts can be recovered by a good shop but pricing not cheap. What's not so easy are the wood like mouldings. They can be refinished or carbon fibered. The clear coating tends to lift off on some more than others. Cars coming from hotter climates have more damage than others.
Everything is redoable, just a question of money

Well the drivers door panel on the top especially is damaged and the top piece looks like someone tried to attach it with aftermarket trim screws.
Itt is also missing the trim around the 3 holes on each front fender to mention a few things.
Someone has rigged a few things on this car which is what happens when the wrong people buy them and cant repair them properly. I have seen similar mistreatment on Porsche 928s, Jaguar XLRs. and Alfa spiders.
So I guess there are no goto vendors for these cars like I have found for Porsche, Alfa and Raguar?

Quite common, rigging things on these cars. Parts are expensive.
There are go to vendors. Here's a list

Standard maintenance dealer only parts, better off with these 2. They are direct dealers in UK. Much less after shipping than buying in USA
Scuderiacarparts.com
Eurospares.co.uk

In the USA these folks have many of the standard maintenance items but they aren't dealers
Formula Dynamics
AW Italian

For used parts, many items can be found on the following. Car part, you can search for so.eone who has your exact vehicle, give them a call and ask what you need. They don't always list every part
Ebay

Hope this helps, I have many more sources but this will get you started

I will check them out. I buy most of my Alfa Romeo parts from a source in the UK also.

If you’re thinking about buying a wrecked GranTurismo or the cheapest GranTurismo you can find and somehow not getting eaten alive by the cost to fix it, I would just save up another $5000 and get a good one.
I agree because in the log run, it won't be cheap. Thanks
