Hello, I have a 2009 Maserati Granturismo and all of a sudden my car went into some kind of limp mode. It wouldn't go pass 2nd gear. Pretty much all the lights on the dash came up. The engine light, transmission, ABS, airbag, etc. The car is acting really weird. The transmission work has been done recently and i havn't had any issues with the car. Its not the transmission. I know its nothing mechanical. It has to be something electrical. I took it to maserati and the car is been there for 3 weeks now. They try to re-calibrate my parking brakes because they were worned out and i changed them. but it said the ECU is not responding. so i got a new ECU installed in today. the ecu reads but still nothing. All the lights are still on except the transmission light. the transmission light went away. Why is this happening? Please help!

Trying to get stuff like this diagnosed via the internet is a waste of time...If the people that are looking at the car are having troubles determining the problem then you are very unlikely to find the answer here from people that can't actually see the car or anything that is going on with such as faults codes, data etc..regards....Jason

Y’all would be surprised what the solution was. I changed the rear tires to smaller size and it all fixed! This all happened after I changed my front tires to a smaller size. But I forgot to change the rear tires to match the total radius on the front tires. The different of the radius was too big, therefore my speed sensor was reading 2 different speeds. And that is why it was showing speed sensor fault. And because the car could not calculate the distance and the speed it was traveling, the car went into limp mode (making my dash light up light Christmas tree). Hope this helps because this took Maserati almost 2 months to figure it out! Even though I told them it happened right after the front tires were changed. Smh
