Thank you. Here are the production numbers again:

The last number is the amount of cars made:

2001-2007 Spyder GT M138ADM M138/F136R (574)

2001-2007 Coupé GT M138ABM M138/F136R (1078)

2002-2007 Spyder Cambiocorsa M138ADE M138/F136R (3134)

2001-2007 Coupé Cambiocorsa M138ABE M138/F136R (5371)

2002-2007 GranSport Coupe M138ABC M138P/F136RB (2432)

2004-2007 Spyder 90th Anniversary M138ADC M138P/F136RB (181)

2004-2005 GranSport Spyder M138ADC M138P/F136RB (472)

2005-2007 GranSport Contemporary Classic M138ABC M138P/F136RB (part of GranSport numbers)

2006 GranSport MC Victory Coupe M138ABC M138P/F136RB (181)

As you can see the special editions and Gransport Spyder are the rarest followed by the 6 Speed manuals(GT means manual. If you have a cambiocorsa it is not a GT or a true manual) . Coupes out number Spyders by well over double. Also 3200's were all coupes, and production was just under 5000. It shows GT 6 speed manual production started first in 2001, but funny thing is you could not get them until mid 2002 in North America well after the CC was available. Dealers liked the fact the CC was a $10,000.00 option meaning they made more money on the deal. Most 6 speeds were special orders from the factory as they were very hard to get from Maserati N.A.

I have a 2006 GranSport Spyder with a 6 speed F-1 transmission (paddle shifters & electronic clutch). Are you considering that a manual transmission or referring to cars with an actual stick shift?

Thanks

They all have the same transmission. For these cars, manual means you push the clutch, CC means the robot pushes it.

Would there be any details available on how many of those rhd Spyder GTs were sold in Australia?

Thanks
Hi tvrv8
I can't help you out with how many rhd Spyder GTs went to Ozz but if you contact info@maserati.com they may be able to help.
When I was looking for a Spyder GT a company in England called Shiltech had a 2002 silver one but that was sold very quickly, that car was sold to someone in Ozz.

Which of these is the Special Edition, being rare as you said, how many of these were made?
I assume you are talking about the 2006 Special Edition and not the MC Victory which I believe is the rarest.

Someone on Ferrarichat posted a link with Maserati 4200 production numbers. The Spyder is alot rarer than the coupe. Also Spyder 6 speed GT's are super rare as many have said with only 574 being made, along with GranSport Spyder Cambiocorsa's with 472 being made. Variant special editions are the rarest. Almost 14,000 4200 were made in total with almost 9000 being coupes. I would guess over 75% of the Spyders were sent to North America based on dealer numbers.

Funny thing I noticed for perspective. The 4200 is rarer than the Ferrari 360 and 430!!

As the owner of a 2003 4200 Spyder GT your guess of about 400 in the U.S. less attrition of 17 years means to me there are not many around. Bob Zim

These are rare beasts indeed. The factory told me last month that they produced 565 Spyder GTs for all markets over all production years.
Of these, 7 were painted in Argento Luna (AKA Grigio Alloy) which is the colour mine is. Mine is the only one in the UK in this colour. Taking the full spec into account (options colours etc) the factory say that mine is the only one on the planet built to that spec! In my production year (2003) only 12 RHD spyder GTs were imported to the UK

I emailed Maserati asking how many Coupe GT were produced in Right Hand Drive and the answer surprised me alot.. apparently 841 of 1078 in RHD. Which means only 237 were produced in Left Hand Drive.. which makes the LHD an insanely rare car!
