So I checked for water ingress on the main harness/back of blower housing, ran some pressurized air for good measure and fully whacked in the single pin connector for the third time. The car gods have shown mercy on us because on ignition I felt a cool breeze come across the windshield. Defrost, air con, here we come!

Tldr; Catmanv2 thank you, right again! I owe you a beer if ever in SC

Also sorry for maybe derailing thread and kudos to older Maserati, these Coupe fixes have been pallatable and reasonable

It is interesting, I see at least one Tesla a day on my normal commute however have not seen another gransport in about a year. I used to have a Ferrari 355 Gts and would see about one a year also. Our cars are sooo unique and special.

You see Tesla all over the place here, they are common. If the Australian government gave tax breaks for them you would see more there. Australia don't fall for it!!!

The batteries production for the Tesla puts out as much emissions as operating a gas vehicle for 5 to 6 years according to many experts.

Gransports are very rare for a modern car.

Thank you. Here are the production numbers again:

The last number is the amount of cars made:

2001-2007 Spyder GT M138ADM M138/F136R (574)

2001-2007 Coupé GT M138ABM M138/F136R (1078)

2002-2007 Spyder Cambiocorsa M138ADE M138/F136R (3134)

2001-2007 Coupé Cambiocorsa M138ABE M138/F136R (5371)

2002-2007 GranSport Coupe M138ABC M138P/F136RB (2432)

2004-2007 Spyder 90th Anniversary M138ADC M138P/F136RB (181)

2004-2005 GranSport Spyder M138ADC M138P/F136RB (472)

2005-2007 GranSport Contemporary Classic M138ABC M138P/F136RB (part of GranSport numbers)

2006 GranSport MC Victory Coupe M138ABC M138P/F136RB (181)

As you can see the special editions and Gransport Spyder are the rarest followed by the 6 Speed manuals(GT means manual. If you have a cambiocorsa it is not a GT or a true manual) . Coupes out number Spyders by well over double. Also 3200's were all coupes, and production was just under 5000. It shows GT 6 speed manual production started first in 2001, but funny thing is you could not get them until mid 2002 in North America well after the CC was available. Dealers liked the fact the CC was a $10,000.00 option meaning they made more money on the deal. Most 6 speeds were special orders from the factory as they were very hard to get from Maserati N.A.

Now we need a breakdown of North American cars.

That would be great, along with other regions. Some of these cars may be double counted I think. For example the factory says they made around 3800 Spyders total but if you count the listed variations it shows mid 4000's. Not sure if the Gransports were included in the CC counts also as they are technically CC's.

Not true, the margin weren’t any different between the CC and GT. Ferrari was pushing the CC trans as they were with the 360 and 430.

There were only 84 2006 Coupe GTs made (6speed manual). If you email Maserati with your vin# they will send you the production numbers for your vehicle. My car is #27 of 84.

Strange as I just got this reply from Maserati when I emailed them a few weeks back:

"With reference to your request we have checked with our responsible office and have been informed that Maserati has produced a grand total of 1.078 Coupé GT, 295 out of this were destined to the US Market.

These are the only information we have in our archive, we hope you will find them useful."

Gave them my VIN# and all other information as well. I was hoping they had a more specific year by year breakdown like others have gotten above. My 2006 Coupe GT should also be 1 of the 84, but I can't seem to find "which" one. :)

That's odd. I received my reply on Feb, 12. from Silvia Di Bari. Stated my 06 was #1020 of a 1078 total GT Coupes built. No mention of the 84 GT coupes for 2006.
Because of acarinci123's letter, we know there were 84 GT coupes built. That would make mine the 25th built.

No mention of the 295 US market coupes.
I guess it depends who does the research, or what kind of mood they are in that day.
They should just release all stats. Then we won't have to bother them.

Wonder how many of these are left in the US. Seems an alarming amount of these have been trashed and in the junk yards already. The ones for sale for under $10k are probably not far behind once the new owner realizes it’s not uncommon to shell out $3-5k for a repair bill.
