This Pennzoil 5L from Canadian Tire does not have the letters '' CF '' in it . Does it matter ?
This Pennzoil 5L from Canadian Tire does not have the letters '' CF '' in it . Does it matter ?I just wanted to run this by you guys before I proceed with the oil change. My owners manual says the oil used on the 2011 Maserati Granturismo S is.............. API SL / CF & ACEA A3/B3/B4 ........SAE 5W-40

Yes, i quite agree with you on the 5W30 in milder climates. I called Pennzoil engineers once and they told me 5w40 or 0W40 synthetic can be used on Maseratis and Ferraris. Our manual calls for 5W40 synthetic but I think any of these oil weights will be fine for normal daily driving.T6 has been my go to for years in my Evora S due to its heavy track usage. One of the best out there IMHO.
However, I believe our vehicles require 5W-30. Correct me if I'm wrong....no need to run a 40wt oil unless you live in 100+ degree climate or track the car.
