I took the interior out of trunk to remove rear bumper when I found a item called the vertical acceleration sensor in the passenger side just laying their. Can some one give me a idea of where this should be mounted to. Also spotted a spot that has nothing connected to it in the same area. Can anyone tell from the attached pics. Lastley the trunk light doesn't go on when trunk opened any ideas . Thank you in advance.

The sensor should be mounted on some kind of bracket back in the trunk..Look around on the wheel arcs for a bracket or look in the parts catalog to get a better idea what you are looking for....It shouldn`t be flopping around obviously...
Is the truck light plugged in? Those two spade connectors could go to a truck light..Look at the light and see if has the same connections..

Look for a silver metal bracket bolted down with a 10mm nut..The sensor slides on that bracket...Jason
