When I went to find a replacement battery for my 2010 GTS Automatic, it seems every manufacturer's tables recommend an H6, however the factor battery appears to be an H8 (just shy of 14" long).

The H6 fits fine (though obviously not as wide), but does anyone know what's up with this consistent discrepancy?

(Also, huge thanks to this forum. I'd never noticed the second door buttons before and sure as hell wouldn't have ever found the trunk release on my own. Still not 100% sure what it was that finally disengaged the EPB).

Did you actually charge the battery? If so, once it reaches a certain level of charge, the EPB will release on its own.
Only what the alternator did, maybe that was it. I was started off a jump pack so I could limp home for a proper charge/replacement, but relief was quickly dashed by the brakes. After a few minutes worth of patience, braking, and holding the switch, I got the "EPB Failure" notice and was able to go.

The battery just died on my 2010 GTS as well, about a week ago. After having the alternator tested, I looked at batteries, and decided to go with the group 49 battery, rather than the recommended group 48. The 49 has the same dimensions as the Fiamm OEM battery, and has a bit more power and reserve. One mechanic recommended the larger battery, as he said the larger physical size would naturally have more storage capacity, which sounds reasonable, but not sure if that's true?
