Yeah i installed the larini mufflers about 2 months ago and they sound great.Loads better than stock.Today though I got the x-pipe center section put on my coupe aswell.Oh my god the sound is too good! You just want to push the pedal to the floor every time.If you have a coupe get them both now!!!They are lighter, louder and my car feels much quicker!:D

harps...

do elaborate a bit more if you can. I've got the mufflers and have been toying with the idea of the xpipe as well. my concerns are, will it be too loud? Does it effect emissions? How about the Cats/headers? The nice part about the mufflers is how they sound all the way to 3.5-4.3K RPM's, but then the stock resonator just muffles the sound higher than 4.3k rpm and it becomes a bit disappointing.

exhaust notes/music

I've had the mufflers & x-pipe on my Spyder now for about 6 weeks now... Initially I thought it was a little louder than I really wanted, but as Jeff & Ali said, the sound quieted a bit and I have to say I totally love it . :) I agree that without the x, the sound wouldn't be as full, hence enjoyable.

Larini exhaust

Well ive got my ecu chipped and got the sport springs from Jeff at Formula Dynamics.I spoke to larini and they said the new mufflers and x-pipe would sound unreal and performance would improve.Like I said the weight is reduced a lot and the car just feels quicker. The sound is loud but thats how I want it.People hear me driving from a long way away and when you push the pedal it sounds like its gonna take off!It doesnt resonate through the cabin though and you can hear your music fine but ive uprated my speakers and installed 6 by 9's.Throughout the rev range the exhaust note is fantastic but get past 5rpm and your in heaven. When slowing down i do get crackles and pops but i love that too!Anymore questions feel free to ask.:D

The end resulting sound is the same whether you start with the coupe or GS, of course the GS does sound different before you make the change.

I realize I'm a biased party here but we have a GS and it's a night and day change. The ending result is very much like the Ferrari. Where the stock GS is really very similar to the coupe, except it's just a bit louder with the valves open.

Slightly different view - the Larini is excellent -mufflers and x-pipe. But it is loud - too loud for me for all around use. Jeff is working on getting a revised x-pipe from Larini with "some" resonator absorption to tone it down a notch or 2 without loosing the sound or the HP increase. The car definitely feels quicker with the free flow exhaust and without that very heavy center resonator.

There would be zero exhaust difference between a Coupe and GS since the engine and the balance of the4 exhausts are identical.

I have the X pipe and the De cats.....it is not too loud. Oh yeah, have the DBW also, those three things are a hoot and will make driving your Mas very pleasing.

The FD guys are very good and will give you all the help you need. Don't have the ECU chip, but the DBW really wakes the car up and the Larini says it's a real Maserati!!!
