Over the winter I installed a set of Euro 3 long tube headers on my 2005 QP.
I had to get header flanges made . Found a local company that does water jet cutting. I made up the collector's going from the header oval 3" outlet to 3" round and reduce them to 2.5" , I bought two 100 cell cats and installed them further back closer to the X pipe, all in S.S. I eliminated the secondary o2 sensor.

The hardest thing for me was making up the two pipes after the headers. I bought 4 2.5" 45s and 2 60s to make it work. I would figure out where to cut the bends and tack weld them in place then go to my friends house and he would weld them with s.s. wire. That's 7 trips to his house to weld each piece for one side only.

The car red lines so much easier without the two original 600 cell cats and short manifolds. It also sounds more like a F1 car now. Just waiting for the final tune from sammyf .

Thanks, I replaced the center resonator with a Fabspeed X pipe and left the stock mufflers on. I was afraid of being to loud. The Long tube headers came stock on 2004 and 2005 QP. In some parts of the world but not in North America.

sammyf is doing the tune, but not sure about secondary o2 delete. The reason for now not installing the secondary 02 is because I moved the cats further back and the o2 wires won't reach. If I have to I will cut and lengthen the wires. No emissions in Ontario for now.

Hi Louis2005qp....since those long tube headers are original equipment, then there must be O2 Sensors with a longer wire harness that are available too, just have to find the part number. I wonder how those long tube headers would do on a later 4.7 motor?
