My 2019 was due for the major service, so made the appointment, scheduled the loaner, which was a brand new Ghibli, and dropped it off. Only reason I used the dealer instead of the excellent gents at Enzo’s is because during my purchase a few months ago, i discovered that even though the car had just come out of the CPO process at the dealership, they only performed an oil change and some other items but not the major service which was going to be due in about 3,000 miles. During the purchase process one of my questions and requests was to make sure the car was completely serviced and up to date with everything needed or due to be taken care of. The salesman stated all was done, and for all practical purposes it was up to date. But I was not informed the major was going to be due so soon after the sale. So after some negotiations they agreed to pay for the service at my local dealer., hence the reason I took it to the dealership. The service was $2300 plus a few other items which I felt should have been warranty repairs but were not, brought the total to $3300. That left me only 1K out of pocket which wasn’t too unreasonable. They seemed to be thorough and the car is running superbly.. No more suspension rattles and all the fluids etc taken care of.

Then I had my FD spacers put on, 22 mm up front and 25 in the back followed with 4 new Michelin Pilot A/S slapped on. 305/35/20 and 255/35/20. Did a custom alignment too of course to get some better wear as well. The stance is great, handling improved, and just a nice setup/ride for me. That total was about another $2100 for everything. I did get the spacers from another member so saved a few bucks there for sure! All said and done roughly $5400 in parts, labor, service etc but all very beneficial for hopefully many miles of smiles!😁👍

FWIW, I really liked the Ghibli! Only put about 300 miles on it but she performed quite admirably. Smooth, linear power, decent sound, pretty good ride all in all. I wouldn’t pay anywhere near 84K for one but… still enjoyed the car/product for a few days.

Man, you've been around long enough. Please tell us what they actually did to your car for $5400. Also pictures are greatly appreciated.
$5400 was the total for everything, including 4 new tires, an alignment, and the spacers. Those items were about $2100 by themselves. ($1800 for the tires and alignment, 300 for the spacers) So the major service items ended up around $3300. Tried to post the exact bill for details but haven’t been able to. However it includes the brake flush, tranny service, oil change, coolant flush, belts, filters etc. That’s about $2300 out the door with taxes and all at this dealership in Atlanta. The remaining $1000 which again I felt should have been covered under warranty was for a TPMS recalibration/error and issue, seat removal and reset, adjustment of the sway bar link and tightening of body struts etc. So to reiterate, the service costs without tires, alignment, spacers was about $3300 of which the dealer I purchased from paid $2300.

Dave, that doesn't like much of a deal at all..Just saying...That is probably the most expensive place to get tires and they probably aligned the car to factory specs. and as you know from your worn out front tires that doesn't work...There is no adjustment on the sway bar links and tightening all the bolts on the chassis braces on a Grancabrio take about 8-10 minutes... It is what it is...Probably should have called us, but whatever...There was no free service...It was a shell game they played with you..For the record I'm pretty sure the tech. tightened the left sway bar link I just tightened when I had your car in the air last month...228.00 for a belt???....You been had brother...Jason

Yeah man, certainly didnt mean to imply it was a good deal, just is what it is for sure. The only aspect I feel that was pretty good considering the ridiculous dealer pricing is, it only cost ME about 1K for the service . Which yes, ain’t great but it was part of the deal when purchasing the car that the service had to be done at a dealership. So, the two year major for me at 1k isn’t unreasonable imho, but never said it was free. I can’t recall what you guys charge for that service but I’m guessing it would be at least 1K, but don’t know . If I could’ve had it done at your shop would’ve been a no brainer But wasn’t an option unfortunately. I won’t ever return to any Mas dealer unless it’s warranty work, period.

4 Michelins Pilots mounted, balanced, aligned to specs I provided from this forum and you was done at Butler for the $1800. The rear 305/35/20’s are roughly 400 a piece I think. i would almost never buy tires from the dealer or have them align the car due to the factory specs and wear issue . Toe was set if I recall correctly to +.06.

in the end, although it was costly over all, the biggest expense to me was the tires. So $2800 out of pocket for 4 new tires, alignment, 2 year service UNDER The CIRCUMSTANCES seems pretty fair.

My bad, your post didn't really explain who did what...I know you and if you ever need anything just PM me...We are both lake dudes this time of the year, but when I get home I'll hit you back..:) Jason

Doctor Jason, No worries man. I don’t spend enough time making sure what I post is clear and concise for sure. Just more off the cuff. You guys are the best and outside of weird shit like this deal, are always my first choice for my ride. Definitely lake time too! In the Bahamas now though which has been unreal in our remote spots. You should come up to BR though this summer as well. Cheers.

Good bit of info. I've just started to hear a knock when turning left on my MC. Thread here for details: https://www.maseratilife.com/posts/1077173/

If it's just a matter of tightening a few links and bolts, that would be fantastic! If not, I might have to brace myself...

It's the only Hi-Performance boat SeaRay built. It's a 1987 Pachanga 22 with a Pro-Charged, intercooled 454 built for it with a custom full roller cam, pistons, balanced, 496 exhaust, etc. It probably has around 700 HP. They originally came with an alpha drive but I upgraded it to a Bravo and installed full hydraulic steering. I only put 50 hours on it due to my new wife and bought a bigger boat. The boat has been sitting in my shop since 2008. It was winterized right with a fog, etc but will probably need the Carb refreshed and water pump impeller replaced. I could ramble on and on but I think you get my drift. The boat is solid as a rock, not a rattle trap like many are!

Yeah, that boat sounds really cool, but way too much boat for me...I like an open bow because I have a dog that wants to play on the shore...I love go fast boats, but you can't really do much with them expect burn gas...Jason

Yeah! People complain about how much gas a car can burn. My boat has a 60 gallon gas tank and if you open it up you can watch the gas gauge go down. It has a 1/2 inch fuel line going to the carb!

I've only had the boat on the water 1 time after we leaned it out a bit after break-in. It does exactly what I built it for. Ya know how dem bass boats with the big Merc hangin off the back think they rule the water. Had one try me not once, but twice because he couldn't believe how bad I made him look!
