A car shop should really be able to figure out a brake pad warning light without help..It isn't that hard..They can only work two different ways ..1.) ground through the rotor 2.) break the circuit open.. Jason

Yeah, I was feeling pretty confident until they reached out to me about that issue. Definitely a concern.

So the shop figured out the brake sensor issue without any feedback for me by the time I called them back their “ electrical guy” took care of it. He is now running through modules and believes there could be a BCM that needs to be replaced so it sounds like there may be a trip for me to the Maserati dealership. they did state with other dealerships that they’ve had luck with getting them to give them codes for BCM’s. I don’t know in holding pattern now until I hear more tomorrow.

I was kinda thinking that was a possibility..The hazards not shutting off were not a good sign...Jason

Yeah, crossing my fingers that the dealership will work with them, but I’m not holding out any hope. Jason you’ve been spot on, I appreciate all your feedback. I’ll follow up when I know more, it will probably be validation for what you’ve already said. You definitely know what you’re talking about. Wish you were closer.😂

The brake pad sensor is one wire with a loop at the end..We just did brakes on a M145 car all around...We didn't do anything with the sensors except cut them..As long as it doesn't ground..So a twist does work, but you can just cut them..Don't count on the dealer to help you much...Jason

Well, looks like I’ll be at the Maserati dealership Friday morning 7:30….🥳
Did you hit the brakes, I forgot about that after I found a mouse had made a home just under the hood near windshield after I vacuumed it out I tried to start it and lit up like a Christmas tree also wouldn’t shift out of reverse and I had her in neutral when I shut her down , hit the brakes went to neutral and started right up.

I was at the Maserati dealer today for four hours from 8 to 12 that charge was $400 for diagnosis, the concerning part is they were still still scratching their heads a little bit they believe it is a body computer control unit but they said if that’s not it, they will not charge me, but they are ordering one in, should be in a week and I’ll be back at the dealership. I was told the body computer control unit is $600, so as it stands at $1000.

BCM Replaced and everything is good! They were pretty fair the actual labor was 5 1/2 hours.
