You can really only do so much with a little OBD2 scanner..You need a more advanced scan tool to access all the modules in the network. Definitely looks like something is wrong in the network..Possibly something with body processor module if the hazards won't shut off...I think it is time for a shop..Sorry..Jason

Follow up, learning as I go with this car, but some dumb a**, either a shop or previous owner rotated the wheels and never noticed the staggered sizes from front back. The wheels were rubbing and had gotten into the wiring harness a is the cause of my electrical issues and did some damage to the wheel. Shop I took it to feels confident they can repair the wiring harness and now I’ll probably be in the market shop told me the wheels interior lip was damn near ground off.

Yep, you got to watch some of those tire guys...I've seen them put the front tires on the rear rims (staggered setup) had to point it out to them...last time I ever used them needless to say...

Yeah, that is a total dipshit move...The sizes are not even that close..Did you not notice that was a real wide ass front tire when you did the pads and rotors?? J
No, they were correct, someone previously had done this. I did notice some rubbing on the wheel wells which I thought was odd but I didn’t look any closer, but I never looked at the back side of the wheels because I pulled it off and set it straight down on its back cause I did not want to damage the faces. I was jacking one side at a time and did put the suspension under pretty good amount of stress. I’m guessing at that point maybe the wires finally gave away I don’t know. I would have definitely noticed with the spacers I put on they all looked flush with the wheel wells, I did pay pretty close attention to that.

Now you guys see why I'm always saying how hard it is to diagnosis a car via the internet...Who in the hell is looking for something like that??? but let a shop just let a shop put the car in the air and they found it in like 2 minutes..J

Well said Jason lesson learned, it didn’t matter what kind of scanner I would have had or used it wouldn’t have mattered, I’m more surprised I didn’t see it doing the brakes. Turns out I did take it to shop that is closest to me. They have been around Ferraris and they’ve actually worked on a Bugatti. After speaking with the gentleman, he was very confident about looking at the car, I do believe sometimes the best solution is to take it to the shop, but also vetting of the shop is definitely needed.

I'm going to kinda go off on the scanner thing..The general public thinks that the scan tool tells you what is wrong a car...It just gives you a fault...You are just using a computer to talk to an another computer as a starting point for a diagnosis..You can literally have a car without any coolant and the scanner would say we are good...J

I feel bad we didn't solve this one ;)

And I feel bad for pointing at the battery with such certainty , just becuase my car‘s symptoms were nearly identical when my battery suddenly died overnight , and a new battery fixed everything .

But yeah, like Jason said, who would have thought to even look there unless a shop examines everything, as unlikely as it may seem to be related ..

When the shop was clearing the air, they ran into an issue with the brake pad sensor. So another issue I was reading on these forums and I saw where people just eliminate the pad sensor so the shop called Maserati and said they have to use Maserati pads due to the sensor. Question number one. Is there a way of eliminating the sensor without having a light on the dash, and if not, can someone recommend a good replacement sensor instead of buying pads from Maserati?

You don't need the sensors..Just tell the shop to use some aftermarket with no sensors and put it on your ticket "as per customer request"..to cover their ass. You just leave plug unplugged...You can check the pads with your eyes by looking through the wheel..You can use FD, Hawk, EBC, etc..Jason

Error code or warning light? The warning light grounds through the sensor wire..We just leave them unplugged all the time. If the brake warning light is on they need to check the sensor wire for short to ground and check the brake fluid level..We never use OE pads...J

Cut the ends of the old sensor wires, (should be two), then twist them together. This will get rid of the light on your dash...with respect to brake pad wear, warning light.
