can bus problems convertible top wont work from inside the car but if i go outside the car i can operate it from door key switch. also passenger window goes down in increments when odometer was flashing the window went down withouta problem , also top worked inside car , now i did a restet and the odometer stays on without blimking and top wont work . i get a whole bunch of codes and low voltage codes . any help appreciated

You need to figure out why you are getting low voltages codes for starters...Do you have a good battery and charging system? Jason

Do you have a system not programmed warning? It sounds like it is just a top not working at this point? How did you come up with it was a CAN bus problem? J

roof problem see manual top only works from door lock , passenger windoe goes down in increments body computer b- can error line faulty bus off. internal roof b1001 ,2,6,6,7 luggage compartmrnt u1602 bus off no signal . i am using the autel reader

I cleared all faults however 3 would not clear
1, nbc body computer fault 1 b can line error U1602
2, NIT infotelematic node U1704 node not present ( My lights are steering wheel buttons not illuminating )
3,NVB Luggage Compartment node Can Line error (Bus-Off no signal U1602 and U1601 Unknown trouble code

I would check all your fuses for starters...Don't forget about the fusebox next to the battery..J

ok will do
i checked them all now the audometer blinks and the roof works from inside and occasionaly while driving i get roof inoperable message . ran a scan and still get 2 faults for luggage compartment node and body computer fault but at least the roof works from inside and the passenger window goes down freely while operating from drivers side controls . ( the window will go down in increments when the roof operational message pops up )perhaps its a software glitch in the body computer. your thoughts

Yeah, it sounds like something is messed up in the network...I assume you communicate with modules that are showing the faults?

i did have the drive by wire installed about 3 years ago i dont know if this hurt anything

You use the scanner...As far as the electronics ...All modern cars have a ton of modules on them and sophisticated networks so that is what kinda breaks on a modern car..You don't get all these fancy features without a downfall...Maserati electronics are fine IMO and no worse than other European car of the same age range...It is mostly all the same stuff...J

for now ill live with it convertible tops always have their quirks . as for the roof operation light coming on once in a while i can deal with it , and ill put a black piece of tape over the mileage audometer . out of sight out of mind.

Ok, electrical tape over a warning light is about as 1/2 ass as you can get ...You are better than that...You are loosing street cred with me here...It is not going to fix itself and you can't sell a car with tape on the dashboard ...J

your right For now this is the fix , maserati dealer is about 150 miles away from me , I will have to see when I can bring the car there . Im just afraid that they will fix one thing and screw up something else . I have heard horror stories about dealerships . furthermore I had a drive by wire installed and if they do screw something up they can blame it on that.

The DBW isn't gonna effect any of that..You can just install the bypass plug...J
