Shout out to OP Aquaranti as i came across this idea from a post he/she made in August of 2017. All credit to him/her, I just decided to add a few pics. 馃憤

Purchase the AutoDrive wiper blades from Walmart, $4.47 for the 26" driver's side, same price for the 17" passenger side.
This installation show's the Driver's side only, passenger side is the same. This installation is also for the retention of the OEM wiper arms.

1. Use pliers or a small flat tip screwdriver to slightly open the retaining clip at one end only, of the wiper arm, just enough to slide the OEM wiper blade out. Do the same on the AutoDrive wiper arm.
2. Slide used/worn wiper blade out, slide in the new wiper blade.
3. Secure the new wiper blade into place by squeezing closed the previously opened retaining clip on the end or the wiper arm. (7) additional retaining clips along the wiper arm can also be slightly adjusted for fit.
4. Reinstall OEM wiper arm onto vehicle.

You really can just use Bosch or Denso, you know. Just needs some fiddling getting them in the hooks

C
Yeah, I just replaced the Bosch ones. $10 and 20 mins. is kinda hard to beat for new wipers though. Especially if you want to keep the OEM wiper arms. New ones are what, about $150 a set?

I thinks it funny that one of the most PIA jobs is changing wiper blades. I wonder if during design they think of how many different ways to attach them they can make.
It seems the makers of wiper blades/arms might really enjoy crossword puzzles as a hobby. :p

I just had a local gas station install bosch blades in my GT, $50 labor, $15 each for the blades. I know I could have saved a few bucks installing them myself but not worth the time and headache to me. I don't enjoy fixing things like some of you all lol.

I bought my blades ( I think there were Bosch Icon or something like that ) , at Pep Boys auto parts, after cross referencing the ones which fit the GTS using the book / guide they had next to the blades shelves . It took nothing more than a typical two or three minute replacement, just the usual fumbling with 鈥 wait, how does this clip go on here ?! 鈥

I saw the Bosch, RainX, and Michelin wipers, for the GT. Bosch were the better price @ $19.49 each. I rather prefer the total price, $8.94 option that I went with...

Maseratis do not melt in the rain, but the morons at the wheel of crappy cars who drive ( and have no clue how to...) at 90 mph in the rain, and losing control of their POS vehicles, is what can damage your Maserati in the rain..

Another good wiper blade replacement option is the Rain-X Weatherbeater at Home Depot. $10 for the 26" driver's side, (slide out driver's blade and slide in the Rain-X blade. Keep OEM wiper arm). $10 for the 17" passenger side. Rain-X wiper replaces the entire OEM unit on passenger side. Dealer quoted me $168 for replacements.

What about the little 'area' on the OEM wiper that presses it to the glass at high speeds does that transfer over to the new wiper or goes out? I ended up replacing just the rubber to keep all in place.

I think the last set of blades I bought were Trico ( 鈥減latinum鈥 or whatever their highest level is ) about half the price of Bosch icon which was the first set I used , and I actually think Trico are better . Fit is OE replacement perfect and even as incompetent as I am ( it鈥檚 as if I have two left hands and ten thumbs ) it was a cinch to put them in ..maybe two minutes time .

I change the blades every three years or so even though they almost never see any use here in California ..and if they do get some use it鈥檚 not for rain, it鈥檚 to wipe off the ash falling on the windshield from the wildfires ..馃お ). But rubber gets old so it鈥檚 best to have pliable, smooth ones in there just in case ..
