Usually the GS starts up with a lovely growl, but very occasionally it sort of sputters to life. It's quite embarrassing actually. Seems to happen after it's been driven, parked, and then driven again very shortly after.

Happens to me as well, actually.

Next service I'll have that checked (I think it may be the battery).

Anyone has any ideas??

It's the battery... Not enough juice to actually get the started to beat the engine to life... It just cranks it "enough" to start it...

But I've had mine happen on a new battery as well. Brought it in to the dealer for overnight charging and sometimes it still happens :(

Check to make sure all of the vacuum lines are tight around the engine. I had one loose, and it seemed to do something similar. Looked like the tie moved down the hose, loose enough you could pull it right off. Has been better on mine since i re-tied it.
