So my (non-Dealer) mechanic did my oil change for about $150 (including the cost of the oil), but he wasn't able to reset the maintenance wrench. Will the Dealer service center reset it for me? Will they charge me? If so, does anyone know how much?

Best bet is to pick up an Autel HT200 for $50 and plan to reset it yourself: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Autel-HT...CAN-Bluetooth-All-Systems-Scan-Tool/964022238

Many shops, including dealers, want to charge a fee to scan/reset lights. If your mechanic can’t reset the light, then he most likely doesn’t have an OBD scanner to scan for codes on your car. Pick up the HT200 and you’ll be able to do it all.

Later FCA products will not allow you to reset the light without going around the security gateway module...So you need the tool as well as a bypass cable....Jason

So that HT200 is out of stock. I'm assuming that this will work with the FCA 12+8 bypass cable

Alternatively, if my mechanic had the ODB scanner, he just needs the bypass cable to reset, right?

Will the same cable work for all odb scanners?

Yes, you need the 12/8 bypass cable...Be aware you'll need to drop the panel down above your feet and reach up to the SGW module..If you are a large person it may not be a great time....J

There are a number of other tools available that can do this. Look for Foxwell NT or OBDStar.
