Hello, I’ve read every post I could find on this topic. Most posts say 255/35/20 are no problem on the GT.
Although, Trid3nt and Gypsy, had referenced a 265 fitting. And Actually Trid3nt said the 265/30/20
had Work on his car. The Post was from 2018.
One reason I’m asking is because of the shortage of tires! The 265/30/20 is available more readily than the 255 size.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

Hello Everyone, It’s been a while since posting last. I looked back and saw that my last post was a year ago. I guess it’s because I’m thinking about getting the car out and have been reading more of the forum.
So, to follow up on my tire choices this past summer. After wearing out the set of Pirellis the PO
had graciously installed prior to my purchase, it was time for new sneakers! I had to go with
Michelins. After reading many of Everyone’s opinions, I went with a set that I missed out on in previous years. A Legendary tire that still has plenty of fans and was still available, however I believe now have been discontinued, the Super Sports! I know I know, the new 4s is the successor, and better…
I wanted what I had missed out on. And I have to say, I’m not disappointed!
Resisting a swipe at the P’s, they’re not terrible. I got to know their limits and strengths. But, in this situation, the French have it hands down over the Italians where the Rubber meets the Road! Nuff said.
So I did get valuable info from Trid3nt and Gypsy as well as Timado, Thank You Guys! As far as sizing, I went with 265/30/20 front and 305/30/20 rear. I wanted as much contact as possible without rubbing. I must say, dropping from 35 series to 30 sidewall, has added a new dimension to cornering!
And sure, I listened to people say, well that makes the fender gap bigger. By a hair and it’s hard to notice. I still haven’t broken the rear loose or pushed the front yet! I don’t always drive like a teenager, or Hardly ever. You just can’t for long, it’s too expensive. But, every now and then, on a favorite, well known road, you just want to feel young again.
Thanks for catching up. Safe Travels!

Yeah, you'd have to be a dang Samurai Jedi to see the difference of 0.1" in sidewall height. :p

Myself, I really like the the 35 series from my experience, compared with a 25 series I had on the AMG...MUCH better absorbing bumps and ridges in the road.
Tried Nitto 555 G2 on the rear recently (305/35/20) and have not broken them loose in the corners yet! Sticky! Common man, look at that tread pattern! Not sure how they will react once they do break loose, but I'm very satisfied so far...plus since their directional, I can flip them when the inside starts wearing out, giving me longer tire wear...

There's a noticeable difference in the sidewall height between a 25 and 35 series tire, too. 1.2" (+40%).
