Is there a way to only spray the windshield? When the headlights get sprayed it gets all over my hood and makes it dirty

Unfortunately, that's the way it is. My '02 GT Coupe did the same thing. So does my wife's 2006 Saab 9-5. Seems to be the way all the manufacturers are making them function.
