I am not sure I have an opinion.

Some thoughts:
1. you want to make sure you are still emitting the right amount of light (this may be very difficult to verify, but look into it. Lights are a safety device. Look up FMVSS 108).
2. I kind of like the LED light pattern following the shape of the housing. Maybe the middle one has to be larger?
3. How are you going to do the turn signal? Perhaps it would be cool to do the 3 stop lights in sequence (I think that is allowed) but that would add complexity
4. Since the 3200GT had actually LED lights (I think the first or one of the first cars with LED tail lights) it would have been cool to do that conversion instead? (some have done it, obviously it is much more invasive). If not, some way to pay homage to it?
5. I think somebody else showed LED tail lights on the forums a while ago. See if you can find that post.

I am way above the brightness required. As these cars only have 1 running light and 1 brake light.
I've seen those before.... Most likely here
