Hi,
I have a November 02 Maserati Spyder CC and I live in the UK. I believe the warranty lasts for 3 years and so is due to expire in a few months. I was told when I bought the car that I could extend the warranty. I am just wondering if anyone has done this in the UK and how much it costs? Also will Masearti write to me with the details or do I need to contact them myself to arrange it??

Any info would be appreciated.

The procedure appears to be that you need to chase your dealer to send your VIN detail to the factory and ask if they'll cover you for warranty. Then (assuming they say "yes") the dealer will relieve you of £1,900 per annum for the peace of mind.

It's for this reason that I handed my Spyder GT over to Rosso Corsa today, for sale ... so if you know anyone who wants to buy a fully loaded, manual, Rosso Spyder with 17,000 miles, send them to this site...

(should appear here).

I enjoyed having my Maserati but have decided to go and get something a little more predictable, more reliable, nowhere near as powerful or as noisy, but more fun to drive and ultimately suffers from less disastrous depreciation.

Thanks for all the help & advice over the last while, and I wish the best of luck to everyone who sticks with Maserati/Alfa/Fiat/whatever it ends up as ;-)

cheers
Ewan
