Hello guys..
I was wondering, as long as they're working on my maserati now, I'm looking for exhaust system and I was wondering, what to get? The tubi or the gransport exhaust system, what do you think guys, which one sounds better ? or which one is better ?

my understanding is that the exhaust system on GS is a tubi OEM. Can't tell you differences between the two. I would guess the stock GS probably isn't is a loud as tubi. I have tubi and it sounds fabulous, it also makes cambio more responsive.

Nice video!

Blood, the exhaust in my GS is definitely more vibrant than in the regular M's, but not over the top - almost perfect, but an additional point or two wouldn't hurt. More than that and it would be too much IMO.

How much louder do you want it?
If you want it a little louder, remove the center muffler.
Little louder again, put the center muffler back in and remove the rear mufflers.
Loudest is with no center muffler or rear mufflers.
I have run all three combinations and currently have no rear mufflers with the stock center muffler.
If someone wants a center muffler delete, I have a direct factory replacement that I made, using the original muffler to make the fixture.

From personal experience, the Tubi exhaust is significantly louder at low revs. It can be quite obtrusive in quiet neighborhoods late at night ;)

The GS exhaust is more aggressive-sounding than the stock but not nearly as loud as the Tubi. IMO it is a nice balance of sound v. noise.

Tubi actually has three versions, a standard, a mid level and the race. The 'race' version is obnoxiously loud and the standard or base version the pretty tame. Thats why most people get the mid. version.

Tubi Or Gs Exhaust

I Have The Tubi On My Gs Spyder And Just Purchased The Center H Pipe To Turn It Down A Notch, It Will Be Installed This Week And Will Post The Results. The Stock Gs Has A Fabulous Exhaust, Will Keep My Coupe The Same As Stock.

Did we ever figure out if the stock GS exhaust is a tubi? (base - sport - race)

Can you still get tubi? The website says they don't make them for the GS anymore.

There was talk that Tubi helped design the GS stock exhaust. However, all agree that there is no similarity between aftermarket Tubi mufflers and the stock Maserati mufflers.

If you want new, I would contact Jeff at Formula Dynamics.

If you want used, there is a set for sale in this thread...

Totally agree - had tubi on last car and after a while it is annoyingly loud for "everyday" use

My FD Decats are the perfect balance IMO. No need to loose the adjustable OEM boxes (it's great to have the option). I am constantly getting compliments from bystanders including Ferrari drivers and it is very livable from a drivers POV

Like you need another option . . . my 2002 Coupe Cambiocorsa has the Fabspeed exhaust on it. Personally, I love it and its the first thing that all my friends comment on. That said, I do have to be a little careful leaving the neighborhood early in the morning. Still, I love to hear that exhaust note. Te be truthful, I've had the stereo on one time just to make sure it works. Otherwise, I listen to 8 cylinder music :autofahrer:
