Hey, hope everyone is well. First time post I've had my 2010 GT around 5 years without incident. However last week while driving I heard a small pop and the car lost power it will now only move slightly if the gas is fully pressed and will still only limp along. Local Garage(not maserati) has said transmission needs replacing any thoughts would be helpful?

Looks like this was suggested a while ago:

Unknown Transmission problem.

I was driving when I heard a pop and lost all power. A transmission warning light came on briefly. The car will move if accelerator pressed very hard at my wits end to know what the issue is 2008 GT. Any help would be greatly appreciated
