I have a '02 Coupe Cambiocorsa and went to Willow Springs for the day with Speed Trail group two months ago. It was a lot of fun, but didn't like driving on the track with old beat up 240SXes, etc. Does anyone have any good ideas or references for going to a track or driving high speeds safely with others? I have heard about some Doctors in my building that charter small planes with radar detectors and pay for some people to illegally secure a strip of highway (like out to Needles CA) to run flat out in the 911 Turbos and 360s. Sounds a little extreme for me if it is true (but I'm still interested if you are out there).

Anything would be great.

its a shame you're not in the UK. About twice a year a few of us hire a 2 mile straight runway & have high speed blasts with electronic speed recording equipment. We ususally have a good spread os Ferraris, Porsches, Maseratis, TVR's and other marques. Top speed so far 192mph..!
