I just installed 18" OEM wheels fitted with snow tires.

The wheels do not have tpms and the original 19" wheels and the car have tpms.

So far no error codes -- we'll see what happens in the future.

There are not sensors on the rims. I believe all Mase have then on the valve stem

As an update, after driving @50 miles I now have a constant error message that I will clear when the summer tires go back on.

You could/should have installed the TPMS sensors from the 19" rims.
You only have to unseat the outer bead for access to remove the sensors.
They are mounted on the stem and easily come out, DO NOT MIX THEM UP.
Do not purchase another set of TPMS sensors and install them on the 18"s,
the ECU reads each sensor identification, so unless you go to the dealer, you can't reprogram it, AND if you reprogram the ECU for the new sensors, the original ones on the 19"s will not longer work unless reprogrammed again.
With that said, TPMS is far more important in the winter because of the contraction of air (drop in pressure) as the mercury drops. I would highly recommend that you have Nitrogen installed in the tires for winter driving with no TPMS. Hope this helps.

TPSM won't re-calibrate on summer wheels

Acquaintance bought an '08 QP and asked if I would post this question. He purchased winter tires and rims but didn't install the TPSM from his summer wheels. With warmer weather he put the summer wheels with TPSM back on, but despite re-calibrating, doesn't get a pressure reading! Any tricks or known issues?

Assuming he didn't mix up the left and right tires when he re-mounted them, my experience was that 1 bad sensor would prevent you from getting a reading on any of the tires.

If it is an '08 the dealer should be able to sort it out under warranty. They should have a handheld device which will tell them if a sensor is bad and which one it is.
