Already last year car enthusiasts from all over Europe had a lot of fun and celebrated a mobile party at it’s best. This years’ Torpedo Run ( www.torpedorun.com ) will be held between 22nd September 2006 and 24th September 2006. With the starting line at Lake Tegern, South of Munich (Germany), and finishing line in Hamburg, the pulsating city in the North of Germany.

During the run across four European countries, you can look forward to exclusive events, eccentric parties, luxury hotels or gambling in a casino. The Torpedo Run gives you a long weekend of sheer fun!

On the German highways (Autobahn) you will be able to drive as fast as you want. You will also get to know winding roads in the mountains and get to experience the most attractive and highest pass roads of the Alps. New challenges and exclusive events are going to await you at the checkpoints. At the daily finish you will stay in luxury hotels and will experience eccentric parties each day.

Highlight of the Torpedo Run in 2006 is the “holy” automotive proving ground of Papenburg (Germany), which is usually closed for public access. There you can experience modern racetracks and an impressive high speed oval, exclusively reserved for us: The high speed oval with banked curves of up to 49.7 degrees is like a shot of adrenaline when you feel the zero side force. Furthermore the reproduction of the small Hockenheimring, a track known by Formula 1 fans is impressive and loaded with action.

Whoever thinks they have the determination for one great adventure, should enter the Torpedo Run in 2006. You find more information and the entry forms on www.torpedorun.com

I'm sure you will also have fun with an automatic during the Torpedo Run. The event is also about partying, it's like a mobile party. At the checkpoints on each daily leg participants can experience nice events agin. And you don't need a car for the events, except the papenburg racetracks. Concerning papenburg: The high speed oval is also fine with an automatic transmission. After speeding up you don't need to change the gear, you can drive with high speed in the banked curves. And in the evening ... it's time to party again. I'm sure you will miss a great event if you don't participate. Or you regret when flickdabean is telling you about it in September.

That would be great. Than we all can can get to know us in person, too. It will really be a great party. Some participants of last year entered this years' Torpedo Run immediately, because they had a lot of fun and want to experience all the vents together with the other participants again. The participants don't drive against each other, it's about having a good time together. So we all meet each other at the checkpoijnts and, of course, in the evening to party.

My little toy ... Alfa Romeo GTV 3.2 Kompressor. The engine was completely modified by Novitec. After watching the engine, a good friend told me that the tuner even uses some Ferrari hardware for my engine.

A former Gumballer from Germany also entered the Torpedo Run already.

Only about three months to go until the flags drop down at Lake Tegern south of Munich, Germany, to start this year's Torpedo Run. There currently some places available. If you're up for participating in the Torpedo Run, now is the time to enter the rally (first come, first serve). Cars who join the Torpedo Run are not classified. Don't miss the drive of your life and enter the event: http://www.torpedorun.com/participation.html

As exclusive as the event are the participants. To mention only some of the cars which have already been entered: Ferrari F430 Spider, Porsche Turbo, Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG, TVR Chimaera and other exclusive sportscars. Whether you are driving a brand-new Porsche or Ferrari, a cool Mini S or a classic Jaguar - your passion for the Torpedo Run is what counts!

The international media is on the spot. In Germany the Auto-Reporter and Sport1.de announced the Torpedo Run already. Even a Chinese magazine wrote an article about the Torpedo Run. The German magazine "Prestige Cars" even entered the whole event to experience a weekend of sheer fun. "auto motor und sport", a very popular magazine in Germany, has announced to be on the spot, too. Furthermore a well known TV station is interested in covering the Torpedo Run.
