Thanks Catmanv2 a good link to Sports Maserati with all the information needed to maker a decision. Does anyone have a recommendation for a treatment company in South Buckinghamshire or there a bouts?
In honesty, you'd be best asking on SportsMaserati since the whole UK indy network is well known there.

The only ones I know of would be Giallo, AV engineering (both in Kent) and Sports Italia (down on the south coast) so not terribly convenient for you

The photos are disturbing ...frightening !! It’s fortunate the car “lives” here in California’s climate and there’s little or almost no chance of that developing on it, but I still shudder to think others might have to deal with that issue ..

OK guys so what is the general view as to whether it is wise to have the underside rust treated? Here in the UK as most of you will know it can rain quite a lot (an understatement at present) and the roads get salted. I suppose the best course of action is to get the dealer to put the car up on a ramp and have good look around. What is a sensible price to pay to have the car checked and treated if no additional work is needed?
you'd be crazy not to get it done. £600 or thereabouts for a proper job with Dinitrol/Waxoyl; that would include injecting door cavities etc but if you have existing damage/rot to the front subframes then that's a whole different kettle of fish. Places that are doing this in the specialist network are Emblem, AV Engineering and the SM/SportsItalia guys who have recently setup. There may be others.

I had my car done at Rustbusters in Spalding on a recommendation from another SM forum member who's GC was done there (he also had an Aston and a few others done by them too).

As hard as it is to not drive it, my car hibernates through the winter in Michigan. I love the fact that whenever I work on something on the underside or suspension that I never have to deal with any rust. My car has basically 2 seasons, fun driving and garage maintenance. I usually come up with a laundry list of maintenance items that I do over the winter. That way it is ready to go when the weather is nice again.
