For the owners that do their homework, have realistic expectations, and have a plan in place for maintenance and repairs, these cars offer a level of performance and elan that few others can match at anywhere near the price.
But nothing is more expensive to drive than a cheap Maserati.
Craig, your car is rare, of a high spec, low miles, and in excellent condition. I would like to see you get around 45K or more, but 30-35k may be more realistic. It's a real shame that these cars are so cheap. And to think, my 2003 had a sticker of $104k when new, people paid a lot of money for them. Until Maserati gets serious about support for older models, the depreciation will remain fierce.

remind me that this was one of the last hand-built Maseratis in Modena under the Ferrari umbrella and how different (in a good way) they are than its contemporaries.
And right there is why the 4200s whether a CC or 6mt, Classico, Facelift, or GS, are such great cars. My apologies to our QP, and GT brothers but the engineering of a 4200 is much more sophisticated than the later cars.
Maserati had been run out of the US market in the late 90's, and Ferrari knew anything less than a spectacular car would be doomed. Ferrari would be selling them beside their own cars. After the divorce the cars (QP and GT) got much cheaper.
I truly think that these will be sought after in the future. Buy one while they are so undervalued.
