BTW, Trident-Parts.com has the Maserati Oil Filter for $26.00!!!

So after reading the the posts below in regard to what should go in the CC F1 PUMP for fluid I went and did some research.. Apparently AGIP no longer makes CHF, it's not on their website and they won't respond to my emails, etc. Anyway I look up the CS-Speed stuff, as well as Redline and find out that Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is actually better than both in all regards as well as it's cheaper.. The best part is that it is readily available..

I am going to down and buy some tonight to have around as well when I check the F1 pump level, I will be able to put in a better grade fluid. So has anyone else here used other fluids other than AGIP CHF? Apparently the Ferrari guys all use other stuff..

Here it shows it to be Synthetic ATF..

The F1 fluid (CS-Speed at £10 a litre in UK) is located at rear by the diff. There is a screw cap with very little room for manouvre. You have to feel it rather than look at it. Clean it thoroughly first, remove and add fluid with a hose and syringe. I used 5ml at a time. DO NOT REVERSE YOUR CAR ON RAMPS!! use jack stands and tire chocks if you dont have electrical ramps!
good luck

Also, I found this: http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=4&gl=us

It is a VERY high spec ATF fluid, the std "Selenia CS Speed" fluid can be
difficult to obtain, I now use Redline D4 ATF fluid which is an even
higher spec .....

Maserati Oil Filter & Air Filter

Does anyone know where I can buy aftermarket Fram, Purolator, etc oil & air filters for my 02 Maserati Coupe? I've been buying the Maserati oil filter from the dealer but the price is sky high. I don't believe that Maserati actually has a special oil filter manufactured for their cars. Most likely, Maserati just buys a FIAT or Alfa, or some other oil filter and has it painted with the Maserati name (even Maserati wouldn't be foolish enough to have a special design for no purpose when an existing design will serve as well for less $ ... would they?) . If someone can break the code and has a cross reference between the different filters then it should be easy to buy a FIAT/Alfa/etc filter that is the exact same thing as the Maserati filter but only pay $5 or $10 for it at Pep Boys.

Same thing for air filters. My guess is that Maserati found an existing air filter design for a FIAT/Alfa/etc & just slapped the Maserati name on it so they can sell it for 10 times the regular price at the dealer. Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks for the info GrndLkNatv - won't need any until next year but I'll make a note of this thread.

p.s. - They replaced the F1 pump and relay - so far so good. Met up with bluyork today for a good run down at the beach - has a beautiful blue GS.

Oil Filter...

If you search the forum you will find a thread on oil filters. It's the same filter used on the Ferrari as well as the Alfa but there isn't a Fram equivalent but there is some European made equivalent.. Search on oil filters and you will find it. I just pay the $26.00 from Park Place Maserati in Dallas and that includes the shipping to my house...

No problem on the F1 Fluid info, got help out my fellow owners!!!!
