I took my 2004 Coupe CC w/ 9,000 miles on a long road trip this past week. About 3 hours into a 4 hour drive, I was driving at interstate speeds (around 70 mph) with the cruise control on when the Cambriocorsa warning light began to flash. I flicked the downshift paddle and the transmission would not shift out of 6. But, a few moments later, everything went back to normal. Then, 15 minutes later, same thing. It performed beautifully for the rest of the trip and the problem has not happened since. Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I get it checked out or just write it off as a phantom gremlin?

Could be the F1 pump on its way out. I'd have it checked.

I had a similar fault on the QP that occured 10 hours after I purchased it. In my situation it was a faulty clutch sensor.

F1 pump already @ 9,000 miles!? Nutz. Maybe you're right. I'll get it checked soon. Maybe it's just the sensor though...

Was it the red CC light or the gear indicator display flashing? Did it beep as well?

The error logging on the transmission is really sub-par. Don't expect the dealer to find anything, but (like what happened to me) expect to find yourself stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

great. thanks Glenn. Well, I bought this car knowing it would be a bit tempremental so this sort of thing is not unexpected. it's annoying, but when I listen to that Ferrari engine running up through the gears I have such a big smile on my face that all is forgiven.
