Recently I took a 1500 mile trip over the course of 6 days. From Monroe County in TN I headed S on 68 (wonderful road for Maseratis), then over the Southern Highroad across North GA and into the SC Upcountry. There were many places to enjoy driving a Maserati along this section. From Westminster and Clemson I headed to Columbia and was only able to do a small amount of backroads. Still a Gran Touring Maserati on an interstate is nice. Next up was Columbia to Conway and back. Lots of flat land with some nice roads, but a bit more traffic than I like. (Also ate at several really good seafood restaurants - yum.) From Columbia to Raleigh, NC. Time constraints here so I took the interstates. From Raleigh to Roxboro and then on to Winston Salem, before finally heading back home. The final leg was long but no time problem so was able to drive the windy, twisties that my Maserati was born for.

Took many photos of friends and relatives with the car. (The gals all wanted at least one picture of them in the drivers seat - the fellows not so much.) It was a big hit with lots of Ohhhing and Ahhhing over the engine and raising and lowering of the top :)

On the entire trip I did not see any other Maseratis at all. Next time I'll try harder to get together with other enthusiasts.

Sounds like a great drive. That's what it's all about... get out and drive that car! I've always wanted to go through a drive out that way at the right time of year, I hear it's beautiful.

Y'all come

Without trying to sound too enthusiastic you've hit it on the head. Some really super roads (Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Devil's Triangle, Thunder Road and many others.) Maseratis were just designed to run these. Whatever time of year the scenery is lovely and there are some really nice folk around that are Maserati enthusiasts. So as we say down South; "Y'all come." Let us know and we'll get together.
