Spare tire for 2008 Quattroporte

I am sure that this topic has been discussed amply before, but I am unable to bring it up on "filters", so I apologize for the repetition.
Would the knowledgeable people here kindly help me with the type of spare that I can use for my 2008 QP?
I recall having read that there is a Ford spare that may fit the bolt pattern on my car.
I've looked on ebay, and the factory spares are available, but if I can, I'd like to find something less expensive.
Thank you in advance.

I got a brand new unused factory spare with tyre, tools, jack, and a compressor from an Auto dismantler in California, all shipped to Australia. No where near the factory original price and cheaper than eBay or in Australia. Might be worth a search for you.🤔
Thank you, sir.,for your prompt reply. I will check out that source.

The OEM one was/is a Vredestein... inflating; folded-sidewall. And of course there is a Maserati-issue air compressor.

None of the following cars that I have owned (or leased) in the last 10 years have a spare tire.

2017 458 (leased)
2016-Dodge Challenger 392 scat pack
2017 Mercedes E Klass (lease)
2016 BMW 328i
Obviously my 2016 GT
2015 Volvo S60 T5 (my daily driver)

I have never had a flat tire, I have roadside assistance incase I ever do.
The only car I remember owning that came with a full size spare tire was my E46 330i.

well - I have two flats in my QP and two trailers….bought the the spare tyre and the third time it got me out of a big hole…..guess It depends on the roads you drive

I do not use run flats either, I can not stand how they ride or feel.
I believe the QP spares are easier to come by then on a 4200. For me, I need to be self sufficient. When I was looking it the spare tire kit it was impossible to find so I went with an alternative that was proposed on the UK forum. It consists of a spare from and SL Benz and a custom adapter. I currently have this set up for sale on the marketplace here because amazingly enough, I found and bought an OEM one not to far from where I live. @Piloto, a quick ebay search resulted in a few kits for QP's.
i bought a generic wheel from my local tire shop and put a full size tire on it. If you take the liner out of the trunk, a full size wheel fits right in there. Also, I run 40psi so the tires dont pop every time you hit a pot hole.

I‘m about to sell my QP (just purchased a GT MC) and have a brand new spare tire, kit, foam holder, etc. If you’re interested, PM me.
